Alexis Frantz

Alexis Frantz, BSN, RYT200

Alexis comes to yoga with a professional medical background in the field of trauma. She has worked with trauma patients and studied how the body and mind are affected by stressful events— from severe trauma to chronic moderate exposure to low level daily stress.  Pain, stiffness, fatigue, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and auto-immune diseases are common ailments intimately linked to trauma and cumulative stress.

In the early 2000’s there was a large surge of neuroscientific research identifying yoga and meditation as highly effective treatments for trauma survivors. It was proven to successfully help manage physical and mental health.  Not only does yoga and meditation benefit trauma survivors, it helps all people manage their responses to daily stressors, it boosts mental resilience, memory and concentration, and it strengthens the immune and endocrine systems. She has since incorporated the practice of yoga and meditation into her own life  for the last 15 years and enjoys sharing those benefits with others.

With her medical background and strong understanding of anatomy, paired with a passion for deepening the mind-body connection, she teaches yoga in a fun and relaxed atmosphere where you can learn, connect with others and bolster your health and well-being too.  Her classes are carefully designed to be challenging mentally and physically allowing you to reach new levels of growth while staying safe and healthy.
